Nutrient Cycling
The water cycle occurs in the rainforest. How? There are four different stages. The first is condensation, water vapor turns into liquid which makes clouds. Next is precipitation which is when water comes down as rain. After precipitation comes runoff which is when water moves into lakes or ponds. Last is evaporation, which comes when heat from the sun changes water into gas. Another cycle in the Amazon is the carbon cycle. Carbon dioxide is taken in by growth and photosynthesis from trees and plants. Then its is released in the atmosphere by respiration and decomposition. The water and carbon cycles come together in photosynthesis when plants combine water and carbon.
